By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using FigLab, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

FigLab is an interactive online learning platform that provides educational content, code exercises, project instructions, and tutorials related to Raspberry Pi, electronics, physical computing, and programming.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use FigLab.

If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you represent and warrant that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the Service and that they have reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Account Creation: To access certain features, lessons, or subscription tiers, you may need to register an account directly or via an authorized third-party Single Sign-On (SSO) provider. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.

Credential Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and session tokens. You accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

Unauthorized Access: If you know or suspect that your account has been compromised, you must immediately notify us at support@figstem.net.

Paid Services: Certain features, advanced lesson modules, or projects may require a paid subscription or one-time fee. By selecting a paid tier, you agree to pay all applicable fees and taxes.

Payment Processor: All payment processing is handled by our third-party payment gateway, Stripe. You agree to provide valid payment credentials directly to Stripe. We do not store or process raw credit card numbers or banking data on our servers.

Automatic Renewal: Unless otherwise stated, subscription plans automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (e.g., monthly or annually) at the then-current rate, unless canceled prior to the renewal date.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing settings or by contacting support@figstem.net. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until that period concludes.

Refunds: Except where required by applicable law, all fees paid are non-refundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partially used billing periods.

Fee Modifications: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price adjustments will take effect following reasonable advance notice posted on our site or communicated to your account email address.

You agree to use FigLab only for lawful, educational purposes.

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of FigLab or its underlying infrastructure.

You agree not to interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the networks, servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure hosting FigLab.

You agree not to scrape, harvest, or extract automated data, lesson content, or source files from the platform without explicit written authorization.

You agree not to share, resell, or transfer your paid account access to third parties.

You agree not to attempt to bypass authentication, breach security safeguards, or access unauthorized user accounts.

DIY, Electronics, & Physical Risks: FigLab provides educational guides, tutorials, and materials involving physical hardware, circuitry, wiring, microcontrollers, single-board computers (such as Raspberry Pi), and electronic components. Working with electronics carries inherent physical risks, including short circuits, electrical shock, excessive heat, component burnout, battery rupture, and fire hazards.

Code Execution & Software Risks: Platform-provided code snippets, terminal commands, scripts, flashable disk images, wiring diagrams, and configuration files are provided strictly for educational demonstration. Executing provided code, modifying GPIO pin states, flashing storage media, or running scripts locally or over a network involves risks, including corrupted operating systems, lost file systems, permanently locked pins, network misconfigurations, or permanent device inoperability ("bricking").

Assumption of Risk: You assume full responsibility for your own physical projects, tools, soldering equipment, power supplies, operating systems, hardware components, and software environments.

Disclaimer of Liability: Fig STEM, Inc. is not responsible or liable for any personal injury, property damage, hardware destruction, component burnout, corrupted storage, operating system failure, or loss of data resulting from your implementation or execution of our tutorials, lessons, code snippets, terminal commands, or hardware designs.

Company Ownership: All lessons, interactive challenges, software, visual interfaces, graphics, logos, text, and design elements are the exclusive property of Fig STEM, Inc. or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Limited License: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view platform content strictly for your personal, non-commercial educational use.

Restrictions: You may not copy, reproduce, republish, redistribute, sublicense, or create derivative works from FigLab materials without our prior written consent.

Ownership: You retain all intellectual property rights in any code, lesson solutions, text, or project files that you submit or create on FigLab ("User Content").

Operational License: You grant Fig STEM, Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, host, reproduce, and display your User Content solely to the extent necessary to provide, maintain, and operate the platform.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. If you believe that any content or material available on or through FigLab infringes upon any copyright you own or control, please submit a written notification to our Designated Copyright Agent at support@figstem.net containing the following information:

• An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.

• A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.

• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and its specific location (URL) on FigLab.

• Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address.

• A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

• A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

We reserve the right to remove alleged infringing content and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers without prior notice.

Third-Party Infrastructure: FigLab relies on third-party service providers, cloud infrastructure vendors, database platforms, email delivery networks, and payment processors (collectively, "Sub-processors") to host, secure, and deliver the Service. A current list of our sub-processors may be maintained in our Privacy Policy.

External Services: Fig STEM, Inc. does not own or control these third-party services and is not liable for their uptime, performance, security safeguards, or practices. The Service may also contain links to external third-party websites, libraries, or technical documentation; your access to any third-party resources is entirely at your own risk.

THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL CONTENT, LESSONS, SOFTWARE, AND CODE SAMPLES, IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIG STEM, INC. EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, BUG-FREE, OR ERROR-FREE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FIG STEM, INC., ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, SYSTEM FAILURE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR HARDWARE DESTRUCTION) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO FIG STEM, INC. FOR ACCESS TO FIGLAB IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00 USD).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Fig STEM, Inc., its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your violation of these Terms of Service or your use of the Service.

• Any User Content you submit, post, or transmit through FigLab.

• Your implementation, operation, or misuse of physical electronics, hardware, wiring, tools, terminal commands, or code referenced in platform tutorials.

• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

By You: You may terminate your account at any time by stopping your use of the platform or emailing support@figstem.net.

By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to FigLab immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or unlawful conduct, or compromise platform integrity.

Survival: All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law: These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to them or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Informal Dispute Resolution: Before initiating any formal legal proceeding or filing a claim against Fig STEM, Inc., you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. You must send a written notice of dispute detailing your claim, the facts giving rise to it, and your requested relief to support@figstem.net. Both parties agree to use good-faith efforts to negotiate and resolve the dispute directly for a period of thirty (30) days following receipt of the notice. Formal legal proceedings may not be commenced until this 30-day informal negotiation period expires.

Jurisdiction and Venue: If a dispute cannot be resolved through informal resolution within thirty (30) days, any formal legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located within the State of Delaware, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Class Action Waiver: TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, REPRESENTATIVE, OR COLLECTIVE PROCEEDING.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fig STEM, Inc. regarding your use of FigLab.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

Modifications: We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective Date." Continued use of FigLab after revisions become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
